Increase in applications for H-1B visa shows lack of skilled employees in the US

The USCIS had said that it has got over 20,000 petitions for H-1B for FY 2017. The process of visa application started on 1st April. Few reports has recommended that the applications for H-1B visa has soared to 2,50,000.

According to the President of Nasscom, R Chandrashekhar, we all know that the H-1B visas which are granted are less than the number of visas that are needed.

IT industry is the key beneficiary of this H-1B visa program and with the US elections round the corner, the matter of its misuse had gathered steam in the nation.

As per experts, India must look for options. The filling of quota in few days showing how limited the quota is. So the IT providers in India should continue to gain optional delivery models that raises the offshore component and deliver through obtained foreign firms.
