Around 88,162 foreign tourists had visited India on e-tourist visa last month when compared to just 25,023 arrivals during the similar period previous year, registering an increase of whopping 252.3%.
According to the official report which was released, the UK has maintained its top position, next to follow is the US and Russia whose citizens had visited India by getting the facility of e-tourist visa.
This e-tourist visa was started on 27th November 2014, and the facility for this e-tourist visa is presently made available for the people of around 113 nations visiting at 16 airports in India.
The UK is leading the list of nations whose citizens had availed the facilities of this e-tourist visa in last month with 25.37%, next is the US with 15.17%, Russia with 9.58%, France with 6%, Australia with 5.25%, Germany with 4.23% and Canada with 4.10%, China with 3.96, Korea with 3.72% and Ukraine with 2.86%.
