India makes visa process easy for Chinese visitors

Ashok K Kantha, Indian Ambassador to China has said that India has structured the visa policy in an efficient way, such that the tourist and the business visa will be processed in 2 days, without any extra charge to encourage the visitors from China.
 
 In 2012, more than 6 lakh Indian visitors had visited China, while over barely one lakh Chinese visited India during the same period.

He also spoke about the festival ‘Glimpses of India’ that will be held this year in China.
Glimpses of India will begin on May 11th, 2014 with a dance presentation by a troupe from Kalakeshtra in Chennai and will be held in 12 Chinese cities, until early 2015.

Mr. Kantha has said that various events involving Chinese and Indian scholars, film and food festivals, modern Indian art exhibition, etc. would be held as a part of this upcoming festival.

He said that they will lay their focus on building commercial and economic relationships between the two countries.
