India proclaims new measures to ease visa process for Nigerians

The newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ghanashyam Rangaiah, has proclaimed new measures that will facilitate Nigerians to get Indian visas easily.

The commission was functioning very hard to make Nigerians to visit its site personally in order to make their applications for visa, Mr. Rangaiah said to the News Agency of Nigeria at Lagos.

Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria has decided that Nigerians who wish to visit India for any reason must individually visit website to lodge their applications.

He added that the applicants have to directly approach the High Commission after applying through website; without taking any assistance from touts or agents.

Mr. Rangaiah also told that in future the commission would need students of Nigeria to produce original print of admission letter offered by Indian Universities and Colleges, prior to visa issuance. Nigerians admission letters have to come directly to the High Commission from Indian universities or colleges. Through which they can easily detect fake documents from anyone looking for visa to visit India, he added.
