The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has adopted the newly introduced system of online booking to meet the visa appointments for the convenience and comfort of visa applicants, and to upgrade the visa services offered by the embassy in conformity with the rules of other embassies globally.
A spokesperson of the embassy, Surinder Bhagat, said on Thursday that the system of online visa booking had been under consideration for a great amount of time. The online system for the many visa seekers has been due for some time now. From here on, the visas would be processed only online with the assistance of the website of the embassy.
He added that the process of accepting paper applications from here on would not be continued.
He also said that as most of the consular sections globally have established a system of digital booking, it has been initiated in Riyadh also in order to upgrade the services that are being offered by the embassy.
Previously, the consular section of the embassy had a service of walk-in. However, the Embassy of India had initiated to accept visa bookings through online means, besides the paper application process during mid-December last year, when they began planning for a full-fledged online system.
