Indian national gets second chance to immigrate to Canada

An Indian citizen Dharmendrakumar Chandrakantbhai Patel's was awarded a second chance to apply for Canadian citizenship by the Canada federal court over the part of a failed email communication by the citizenship and immigration Canada (CIC).

The federal court observed there has been “a breach of procedural fairness” as CIC while rejecting the application saying he has not responded to the email that requesting legal documents that which Mr. Patel never received.

Mr. Patel applied for Canada permanent residence in June 2010, but his application got rejected in the February 2014 because he "had not supplied any of the documents allegedly requested on August 20, 2013.” The CIC could not able to provide any proof that email application was sent to the applicant.
While the court observing the case had stated that "Email could be efficient and fast in sending information, but there's the black hole of email where it just disappeared. Over-reliance on technology can be dangerous," and awarded $3,000 to Mr.patel.

With the judgment comes favoring Mr.patel, he may now proceed further with his application of permanent residence in Canada.
