Indian tourist visas can be issued at faster pace through electronic travel authorization

In the recently held three-day annual convention of FHRAI in Jaipur of India, the leaders of the immigration industry came up with a single opinion that eVisa has the capability to double the number of tourists to India annually.

Mentioning about the timeline, the president of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI), Sherwani has said that international tourists get the tourist visas to Sri Lanka and Thailand in nearly three days while India takes a month to issue tourists visas.

If electronic travel authorization is implemented properly, India can literally cut down on the processing time, which would in turn witness a large number of tourists visiting, opined the other travel and hospitality experts who agreed with what Sherwani said.

With the help of electronic travel authorization, India too can issue tourist visas within three days, said FHRAI president Subhash Goyal.
