Indonesia to waive visa requirements for Russians
The Indonesian Government is about to waive the visa requirements for Russian citizens from 1 January 2015, said the Setya Novanto, upper house parliament speaker.
The chairman of regional representative council, Irman Gusman, said that the government is on a plan to waive visa requirements for Russian citizens who visit Indonesian territories.
The legislator of Indonesia told that the mutual collaboration between Indonesia and Russia has enhanced with the increase of Russian tourists of about 100,000 to Indonesian resorts.
Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian union, Valentina Matviyenko and the Setya Novanto upper house speaker of parliament has rolled out the red carpet for the move.
Valentina Matviyenko further noted that this move will undoubtedly (uplift) boost the tourism industry of Indonesia.
Indonesia is planning to start explicit flights from Moscow to Jakarta and Bali. The conference with associates in Moscow is still under way.
