IRCC releases results of 40th express entry draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) which manages online application system, ‘Canada Express Entry Scheme’ have announced the results of 40th express entry draw on August 10th 2016, total 754 candidates who secured 490 CRS score have been issued ITAs to apply for Canada Permanent Residence.

There is no significant increase or decrease in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) since the last four draws. The 39th Express entry draw held on 27th July 2016, has issued ITA's to 755 candidates who secured 488 points. The CRS score is imperative to get invited for Canada Permanent Residence. The score is awarded based on several factors such as age, skills, educational background, work experience and other factors. 

Canada Express Entry Scheme – the responsive online application system for Canada’s skilled migration program is active throughout the year. Applicants can submit their application any time of the year, by creating an express entry profile. 

This program has managed to address the labor shortage in Canadian industries. The highly acclaimed Canada’s point-based immigration system has issued 48,605 ITAs, since the program began in January 2015.
