Manitoba PNP held a draw on December 6th and invited 221 candidates to apply for immigration on the provincial nomination leading to permanent residence in the country. These candidates were in
• Skilled Worker Overseas
• Skilled Worker in Canada,
• International Education streams of its Provincial Nominee Program
The share of intimations in the draw was as follows:
• Skilled Workers Overseas: 23
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 165
• International Education Stream: 33
Also, after this draw, the total LAAs issued by the Program during the present year reached 7362.
Manitoba PNP Express Entry
The draw has also invited 18 candidates in the Express Entry for applying to get the provincial nomination. The eligibility norms for this require that the candidates in Express Entry must have work experience in a top demand occupation of Manitoba. They have to give Expression of Interest to the Program separately. The aspirants who receive LAA and apply successfully for the Manitoba PNP nomination get 600 extra points in their CRS score. It ensures them to get the invitation to apply for PR in Canada in succeeding draws.
Expression of Interest
The initial step for candidates to get the invitation in the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or in the Skilled Worker Overseas category is registering the Expression of Interest with the Program. Each EOI gets the score out of 1000 marks calculated on varied factors like work experience, education, connections to Manitoba in the past and also language proficiency.
The candidates with the highest score get the LAAs using which they can apply to seek the provincial nomination. The minimum score of candidates in the SWM category in this draw was 522. Simultaneously, the minimum score of candidates in the Skilled Worker Overseas class was 718.
The Category of Skilled Worker Overseas in PNP
The SWO category of Manitoba PNP permits the province in nominating skilled overseas workers, who support the labor market, to get the permanent residence in the country. The eligibility norms need the candidate to have a connection to the province through close family members or friends, past education/work experience or an invitation through the Strategic Recruitment Initiative of Manitoba PNP as also meeting supplementary requirements.
The eligibility norms in Skilled Worker in Manitoba need the candidate to work in Manitoba while submitting the application. They need a full-time as well as permanent local job offer and must meet supplementary criteria.
