New visa rules for Chinese tourists

In a bid to attract tourists from the US and China, the countries have signed a pact where the visa will be valid for up to a decade to travelers from this two countries which was announced by Barack Obama. He also said that this would benefit both the countries. 

The visa was first valid for a year. 

The president Obama on Monday told the Economic cooperation of Asia pacific chief executive summit that the United States welcomes the rise of stable, prosperous and peaceful China. He also stated that the country wants China to do well.

 He added on saying that they do compete for business, but also seek to co operate on broad range for shared opportunities and challenges. 

The new rules which are to take action from Wednesday, tourist and business visa will be valid for ten years and student visa for five years. 

There is no change as to how long the traveler is allowed to stay in the country, but how long is the visa valid for.
