According to New Zealand Education (ENZ), India has come out as the second biggest source of foreign students to New Zealand where its universities are creating job ready professionals and graduates.

According to the Regional Director of ENZ India, John Laxon, the formalities of visa and immigration has been made simple for making New Zealand as the education destination for prospective students from India for pursuing education among many disciplined specialized courses like sports management, cyber security, hospitality and animal science.

He also said that the Immigration Department of New Zealand (INZ) had currently started a latest Pathway Student Visa that permits for an additional seamless education experience. Students could take up three successive study programs with the selected learning providers on a visa which is valid for five years. Previously a student would have required to apply for three separate visas.

INZ, Area Manager, Nathanael Mackay told that India is the second biggest source of foreign students to New Zealand with around 20,227 registrations at the institutions in that nation during the year 2014 with 20% of hike in the entire student visas in the year 2015.

He also said that New Zealand is very secure and welcoming nation which is the key consideration for the students thinking about pursuing education abroad. He also added that a multi cultural country with the students and citizens from around 118 nations did not harbour any racial discrimination.
