The government of New Zealand will soon be providing convenience for the citizens from Indonesia who plans to visit the country for purpose of business. New Zealand has also promised to provide simpler and faster processing of visa and requirement of documents.
The deal was finalized by signing a MoU in Jakarta between the Tourism New Zealand, Immigration New Zealand and the four travel agents.
Immigration New Zealand Chief, Nigel Bickle, said that the changes made is welcome news for New Zealand, and that it shows the government of New Zealand commitment to welcome the people of Indonesia who wish to visit New Zealand.
He also told that through this agreement, those Indonesian business travellers who receive the incentives like less priced tickets from the institution or company they work for would be eligible for easy and simple document and visa process. The process would only take 3 working days & documents that might be submitted will be less.
According to the Regional Manager, Tourism New Zealand, Steven Dixon, Indonesia is among New Zealand’s major markets for the events related to business and tourism with over 17,000 tourists from Indonesia visited New Zealand previous year. This statistics is 17% more when compared to the one in 2013.
