Nova Scotia held a draw in the Labor Market Priorities stream on December 20 and invited 144 candidates belonging to the Express Entry having the required work experience related to public relations, advertising, or marketing sectors. The category of invited candidates belonged to the NOC 1123.

Through the Stream, under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program, the province is allowed to select qualified candidates belonging to the federal pool of Express Entry for meeting the labor market demands. Nova Scotia had begun this stream in 2018, and has at times invited candidates in

• Social workers

• Early childhood education workers,

• Accountants,

• Financial auditors,

• French-speaking candidates, of Express Entry to send the application for a provincial nomination by using this stream

Labor Priorities Stream: Requirements for Eligibility


The selected candidates need to have two years of full-time or equal part-time experience in the three fields, that was acquired in the preceding five years of the application. Furthermore, they needed to select English as the first language and also achieve language proficiency equivalent of CLB score - 9 in all abilities.

Everyone selected in the recent draw had a master’s degree and had submitted the educational qualification proof accompanying the application, plus the report on Educational Credential Assessment. The draw only targeted such candidates who submitted their profiles in Express Entry after Jan 1st, 2019.

The candidates selected can apply to seek Nova Scotia provincial nomination. The provincial nominees get 600 extra CRS score points in CRS score which is an assurance to get the Invitation to Apply towards Canadian permanent residence in the ensuing Express Entry draws.
