Philippines BI approves plan for eliminating notarization for BI applications and letter requests
Philippines Bureau of Immigration (BI) has agreed for another plan to simplify the transactions and reduce the cost for foreigners by eliminating the necessity of notarizing some of the immigration documents.

Siegfred B. Mison, Immigration commissioner has told that all letter requests and the applications that are being submitted at the Bureau of Immigration shall no further necessitate notarization, whereas all the sworn statements and affidavits shall need notarization.

The new adopted policy will simply the procedure of carrying on business and at the same time will maintain the integrity of the transactions through BI, without any failure.

BI National Operations Center (BINOC), Central Receiving Unit (CRU), The Public Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) have all been ordered to publicize the order of the commissioner
