The immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness Minister of Quebec, has announced the start of its online skilled worker program from 13th June 2016. On this date it would start accepting around 5,000 applications towards the entire quota of 10,000 under its skilled worker program.
The online system has been facing frequent delays since the month of January this year. Over 42,000 applications have been waiting since 26th February 2016 when the program was scheduled to reopen for submitting the application through the online portal.
Kathleen Weil, Quebec Minister is facing the rising pressure, had decided to suspend the program and upgrade the online website, rather than permitting for paper submissions.
From 29th February 2016, the latest online user accounts might be created and the existing one might be modified.
From 13th June to 20th June 2016, those applicants who had created a user account would be able to submit their application for getting Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) and they require paying the fees. Around 5000 applications would be accepted during the period of time on the basis of first come first serve.
From 20th June 2016 to March 31, 2017, the period of second reception would be confirmed by the MIDI. Those applicants who had created a user account would be able to submit their application for CSQ and should pay the fees. Around 5000 applications would be accepted on the basis of first come first serve during this second period.
Those applicants who are applying under this program cannot submit an application after the above mentioned time. And those applicants who qualify under the Quebec Experience Program or with the offer of job might submit an application any time. Moreover, the applicants with the valid work and study permit are not restricted to the above time periods.
