The immigration minster of Quebec has told that Quebec would maintain its present levels of immigration of 50,000 for next coming years.
Previous month, the Quebec government had declared a proposal for latest framework for immigration with government planning that total levels of immigration can reach 60,000 mark.
The plan came into force on 6th April this year. The latest system target to reply better to the labor market requirement of Quebec by adopting an EOI model, where by individuals interested in migrating to Quebec should fill EOI so that the government could assemble candidates’ bank which is best suited for the requirement of Quebec. Candidates are invited to apply for immigration.
It is noticeable that the Quebec government had not sack its original proposal to increase the level of immigration by 20%. It is further taking an approach than the originally planned.
