Latest information has revealed that a large number of foreign students are studying in Australia. As per the information it has confirmed that last year, Australia was among the most favorite foreign education destination for the students who want to study in Australia.

According to the latest statistics, it was revealed that in the previous year, over 1,75,000 foreign students has pursued their higher education in Victoria with an increase of 15,000 from the earlier educational year.

According to Steve Herbert, Australian Training and Skills Minister, Australian universities are among the best in the world and they are ranked second, as the most popular education destination for the foreign students in the world.

He also informed that Victoria is among the best multicultural societies and it is welcoming individuals from across the world. It is not difficult to view why Australia is now a favorite destination for around 1,75,000 foreign students every year.

The new information has also revealed that overall, almost a third of entire foreign students who are choosing to study in Australia are selecting for the universities in Victoria. It is a home to Melbourne; it is ranked as the world second best in the best student cities 2016 rankings. Sydney is also representing Australia on the international stage and it has been ranked as the world’s fourth best student city .

Herbert also told that the universities in Victoria is known for its excellence in research, and the government is strengthening foreign education and joint research partnerships in the Asia Pacific region.

It has brought around 1,600 sector professionals from 46 various nations that include 184 from Japan. 

The Australian government has also started the Student Welcome Desk at the Melbourne Airport which permits the officials from the university to greet foreign students who arrive in the country.

Foreign education now represents biggest services export of Victoria, producing over AUD $5.6 billion for the economy, the sector is also supporting over 30,000 jobs last year.

The Labor government of Australia is also adding final touches to the latest and enhanced foreign education sector strategy, which would form backbone of Australia’s plan to enlarge its international reach and continue to grow foreign students in the country in the future.
