Reforms in Australian Immigration to be implemented in July this year
The Immigration Department of Australia is expecting that the changes to its immigration would be implemented in the monthofJuly this year, in three stages. The review originally started in the month of September 2014, that includes a proposal toletbusinesses in Australia employ specialist overseas employees for a period of one year without needing a 457 visa. Butaccordingto the Australian Immigration Minister, Peter Dutton, no ultimate verdict has been made about the structure of the visaand theset up that will be rolled out.
Immigration officials are considering various alternatives for overhauling the visas for skilled migration for boosting the competitiveness of Australia in the international talent market.
The reforms of Immigration Department of Australia are now focusing on what they called as the latest simplified system that relaxes the requirements of visa, enhances the process of visa application and minimizing the overlapping of visa routes.
As per Peter Dutton, Australia is committed towards making smarter rules for enhancing the integrity of visa programs and raising the skilled migration’s contribution towards the economy and productivity of Australia.
Australian Immigration Minister has also pledged of an innovation boom through A$1 billion blue print which is designed for encouraging high skilled employees for immigrating into the country. The planned latest structure would also include easy access of visa for entrepreneurs.
