Saskatchewan Holds A Draw and Issues Invitations to 308 Promising Candidates

The immigration officials of Saskatchewan issued 308 invitations that target 82 NOC codes in the first skilled worker draw for Expression of Interest draw in the present year on January 9th. This draw was held in Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program and invited 142 candidates for Express Entry as well as 166 in the Occupations In-Demand categories. Both streams required the minimum score of only 69 points. Also it was the 10th draw after the Program enlarged the list of eligible occupations, to 218 from 19.

The Requirements for the second Sub-Category in Occupation in demand


• Scoring 60 points on the point’s assessment grid of SINP;

• Having CLB 4 score

• Having completed a year of post-secondary education, or sufficient apprenticeship or training comparable to the local education system and earning the certificates, or diplomas, or even a degree

• All such Degrees/diplomas taken outside Canada need the Credential Assessment;

• Work experience of One-year during the previous ten years in a field of education/training job, and also

• In eligible occupations that appear on the list in NOC B, 0 A,

• Obtaining appropriate license in Saskatchewan if it is a field requirement

• Having sufficient settlement funds followed by the settlement plan

• Payment of online $300 application fee- it is non-refundable

Requirements for the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category


Candidates belonging to outside Canada or those who have a legal status will qualify for the immigration category, and they must not be refugee claimants,

In addition candidates must:

• Submit the profile in the Pool of Express Entry, and have a profile number and a job validation code;

• Scoring 60 points on the point’s assessment grid of SINP;

• Provide language test result issued by the selected testing agency to match with the Express Entry profile;

• Having completed a year of post-secondary education, or sufficient apprenticeship or training comparable to the local education system and earning the certificate, diploma, or degree

• All Degrees/diplomas that are obtained outside Canada need the Educational Credential Assessment;

• Have these experience requirements in a field of education or training job:

• One year in the last 10 years in skilled professions for non-trades;

• Two years in the skilled trade during the previous five years; or

• During the last three years one year experience in a trade and non-trade activity

• Having work experience in a top skilled, eligible occupation in NOC B, 0 A,

• Obtaining the appropriate license in Saskatchewan if it is a field requirement

• For all skilled trade jobs, a certificate from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission is essential

• Having sufficient settlement funds followed by the settlement plan

• Payment of online $300 application fee - it  is non-refundable
