South African Tourism willing to see more Indian visa centers

South African Tourism (SAT) is looking to solve visa service issues in India and China by expanding the staff and capacities at visa centers.

Thulani Nzima, CEO of South Africa Tourism, said that he is not satisfied with the visa services provided in India for approving South African visas. Because of less number of staff at Indian visa centers, issuance of South African visas got delayed this year. Even in China there was a delay in issuance of visas at the visa centers at Shanghai and Beijing.

He added that as the marketing arm of SAT, they are supposed to market the country and see to it that  no obstacles occur for people who wish to arrive to SA. An assurance was given a two weeks back by the ministry of home affairs regarding an increase in quantity of staff at the Indian visa centers.

As India is a vast country, existing two visa centers at Delhi and Mumbai seem to be insufficient and plans related to establishment of additional centers are under consideration.
