The Trade and Economic Office of Thailand in Taipei announced that visa fee is exempted for Taiwanese travelers visiting Thailand for a three-month period starting from 9 August 2014 to 8 November 2014.
According to the data provided by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand turned to be an admirable destination for Taiwanese nationals, welcoming 187,662 Taiwanese travelers during the first six-month period of the year. Over 30,000 Taiwanese travelers each month will be benefited through this fee waiver program, revealed TAT. However, during the fee-waiver period, the travelers of Taiwan need to apply for a visa at the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei.
It has to be mentioned here that the visa fees for temporary residence permits and business visas remains the same, TAT added.
