Trump wants to abolish J-1 visa program

Donald Trump who is a frontrunner to the next year the United States presidential candidate said he want to get rid of the J-1 visa program in his views mentioned about on current immigration policies and revealed his desire to boost the jobs for domestic US workers.

Trump wants to end J-1 student visa program

The J-1 visa program allows full-time third level students to work and live in the USA for four months, currently more than 8000 Irish students traveling every year to the US for their summer work. 

“The J-1 visa jobs programme for foreign youth will be terminated and replaced with a resume bank for inner city youth provided to all corporate subscribers to the J-1 visa program,” in his policy document on immigration.

The business tycoon also mentioned that he will crack down on the people that overstays on their visas, individuals who will refuse to leave the country after their expiry of visa will be subjected to criminal penalties.
