The UK government will be extending the multiple entry visas for the visitors from China to the period of two years from currently six months.
According to the news agency report, the fee for application of the visitor is around USD130. It is also looking for extension of the visa to 10 year period in the coming future.
The latest visa program is scheduled to come into effect in the month of January next year, and it is expected to extensively increase the number of tourists from China who visits Britain in the year 2016.
From this year’s April to June months, the number of tourists from China who visited Britain has seen an increase of 33% as compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to the travel companies in China, this program will help the tour operators and travel agencies from China to promote the UK holiday and tour packages. Britain can become one the popular foreign tourist destination for the travelers from China.
According to the information, the total number of visas that are granted to the visitors from China has been raised upto 3,36,000 in the year 2014 from 1,15,000 in the year 2009, with the average of spending by the tourists is USD 4,150 for every visit.
Despite the growth in the visitors from China to the UK, the total number of Chinese tourists are still accounting for the small portion of the total overseas visitors to the UK. This year, UK can attract around 5,00,000 tourists from China, the figure is still 0.5% of all the overseas visitors that are expected to visit the UK this year.
The UK is ranking 16th popular foreign tourists destinations for the travelers from China, and lag behind other European countries like France and Italy.
The tourists from China to the US have increased sharply since both the countries have increased their validity of their tourist visa to the citizens of China to ten years which started from 12th November in the previous year.
According to the reports, US is the fourth popular foreign tourist destination for the travelers from China, and it is trailing with countries like Japan, Korea, and Thailand.
