The enhanced visa proposal was made as part of the Immigration Minister’s visit to India, as he  visited Delhi and Bangalore. As part of his visit  the Minister had met with few significant visa clients from various sectors like business, education and travel to get the knowledge of how they utilize the services of visa.

Service improvement includes expansion of similar day, services of super priority visa to the initial time tourist and job visas. The priority visa service which is usually of 3 to 5 days would be expanded to study, work and visit paths permitting additional clients in India the chance to obtain a decision of visa sooner.

From the end of February month, visit visa applicants from India would be able to gain from the latest easy and quick online application form. The latest online application form would make it easy for the individuals who plan to go on a holiday or for business to the UK and European countries, to apply for both the Schengen and UK visas.  After filling the form, the individuals would be able to download the form and could also take out a print out of it for applying. In the beginning the form would be launched in English but it would later be translated into Hindi, Gujarati and Tamil languages also, making it easy for the individuals from all over India to apply for their visit visas of UK.

UK Immigration Minister has also launched a latest visa application centre in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

During his trip to Delhi, the Immigration Minister had told that India is among UKs biggest market for visa and that the UK would continue to make modifications to its services making it easy for the individuals to apply for their visas.

He also said that UK is pleased that many Indian Tourists are selecting to visit to the UK on holiday and for doing business. Previous year, UK had witnessed around 17% of boost in the visas that were granted. Indians are welcome in the UK and hope that this year also it would see an augment in tourists from India.
