United Kingdom officials said that they would speed up the processing of visa applications for Chinese students, at all Visa Application Centers (VACs) in 24 hours, between 8th August and 14th October.
It is the first of British ‘super priority’ visa services extended to student applicants. The 10-week pilot period arrangement will provide a total of 100 super priority appointments to Tier 4 applicants every day. According to the Shanghai Daily, the service would cost £750, equals to USD $990.
The slots for appointments would be increased based on demand. I If the service proves successful, then it may be extended on a permanent basis. During that interim, students can also benefit from the 3-5 day priority visa service in China.
Statistics reveal that UK Visas and Immigration, receives 800 student visa applications every day during the admission period. By the end of March 2016, the UKVI received 3,000 applications using the super priority visa service.
