US embassy simplifies visa processing for Bangladeshi nationals

Bangladeshis able to place an appointment date for USA visa interviews and from September 14 payment of the application fee is done at any HSBC bank.

Michele Thoren Bond, the US assistant secretary for consul affairs said that, in order to provide better services, many changes have taken place in the process of visa appointments.

She also added by saying, that soon all the Bangladeshis would have their interview appointments online, after the completion of their online visa applications, where they get clear instructions in English and as well as Bangla.

All those who are seeking for US can apply US visa through the new website from September 14 with a change in the processing system, where the previous applicants used to apply online and set up an appointment in person at Saimon overseas.

The call centre’s operating every Sunday to Thursday from morning 8:00 to evening 8:00 providing assistance with regards to visa queries to the interested people travelling to the US, and all the other call centers would be available 24 hours from Monday to Friday for any kind of quiries.

Notably, it is convenient for most of the applicants to pay their visa fees at Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking (HSBC) in Sylhet, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Narayanganj. The applicants can choose to pay in cash or dollars and will receive a receipt valid for a year for free.
