US President has assured India that it would look into visa fee issue

Both the leaders has discussed the issue including the visa fee and the US President has assured that they would see what could be done under this situation for limiting the affect on the tech industry of India.

After the visa fee was escalated, for the categories of H-1B  and L-1 visas, Nasscom had said that it would put an impact of $400 million per year on the technology sector of India.

India is the leading user of H-1B visas with around 67.4% of the entire 1,61, 369 visas granted in the year 2014 goes to Indians and it is also the leading user of L-1 visas with around 28.2% of 71,513 visas were issued to Indians in the fiscal year 2014.

It also said that it is not true that overseas talent is being employed at fewer salaries in the US; the technology industry of India pays same income to the US citizens and overseas workers.
