US State Department has released Visa Bulletin for February 2016

The US DOS has revealed its Visa Bulletin for February 2016. This Visa Bulletin has set out country wise priority dates that regulate the availability of the immigrant visa and flow of status adjustment and filing and approvals of consular immigrant visa application.

This Visa Bulletin for February 2016 had included both the Application Final Action Dates and Filing Visa Applications Dates in the chart. The first one specifies when the intended immigrants might file their applications for status adjustment or immigrant visa and the second one tells when the applications for status adjustment or application for immigrant visa might be approved and PR is issued.

If the USCIS specifies that there are many immigrant visas available for a year than there are applicants for certain visas, then it would mentions on its website that the applicants might use the chart for Dates for Visa Applications Filing. Otherwise, the applicants shall use the chart for Application Final Action Dates for specifying when they might file their status adjustment applications.  For the February 2016, the USCIS had declared that the job based applications might only use the chart for Application Final Action Dates.

To get qualify for filing an application for EB adjustment in the month of February, overseas citizens should possess a priority date which is previous than the date listed in the chart.

The biggest change in the chart for Application Final Action Dates is in EB-2 India category which had advanced by 6 months to 1st August 2008. The EB-2 China category advance by a month only. other classification categories had witnessed only least advancement of three weeks to three months.
