The United States Commerce Secretary, Penny Pritzker, who is on a three-day visit to India, said that she would look into the matter concerning India over H1B and L1 visa fee hike.
India has highlighted the issue of visa fee hike at several stages to the United States of America, as the hike hinders the free movement of skilled workers between both the countries.
Speaking at a press conference at the end of the strategic and commercial dialogue between the two nations, Pritzker said: "It is imperative that we look into that issue."
Earlier in the month of March 2016, India filed a complaint against the United States opposing the doubling of visa fee at World Trade Organization.
An applicant now needs to pay the double visa fee.
