USCIS would honor the birth of country’s first President George Washington and entire presidents who had led the nation by greeting around 20,000 new citizens of the US during over 180 ceremonies of naturalization all over the nation between 12th to 22nd February 2016.
On this President Day, USCIS has been sharing the stories of naturalized citizens of the US whose children later became president.
The activities on the President Day would feature a ceremony of naturalization in Mount Vernon, Virginia on 22nd February 2016. León Rodriguez, USCIS Director, would administer the oath to around 50 individuals and would also deliver few important remarks.
Other ceremonies during this week would be held at Theodore Roosevelt in Buffalo, New York on 16th February, History Colorado Center in Denver, Colorado on 17th February and Washington Crossing Historic Park, Pennsylvania on 18th February.
