The current development would bolster tremendous tourist flow to the country. In the very last month, Vietnam introduced visa-free entry to the citizens coming from six European nations.

So far, no specific time is evolved. However, according to the sources the Tourism Minister Hoang Tuan Anh told the US Department that he would hope to see one million tourists from the US annually by 2017, which is double the number during the year 2014.

Hailing the proposal would benefit the Vietnam, as the majority of American visitors tend to visit the Vietnam for one or two weeks.

In 2014, about 443,776 US nationals visited the country with 3 percent growth compare to 2013. And in this year, from January to July, US visitors have registered at 301,907.

In recent times, Vietnam has been easing the visa rules as it registered a consecutive decline in the tourist arrivals to the country.
