Canada remains to be the Study destination for foreign students

Canada immigration and citizenship minister Chris Alexander announced that Canada is all set to welcome the record number of international students this year. 

This year around 103,999 study permits were issued. There was an increase in the same period 11% in 2013 and 26% in 2012.

India, South Korea, France, China and the US had the majority number of international students who entered Canada for their higher studies.

Canada has announced new visa regulations in June 2013, to attract foreign students from various parts of the world to strengthen the educational reputation of Canada for better quality of education and perk up services to the foreign students and reduce the potential of fraud and misuse of the program.

The immigration minister quoted that the government is proud that Canada remains to stay as the study destination for many foreign students. 

Every year thousands of international students become a permanent resident of the country by putting their education and work experience to contribute the economy growth of Canada.
