Kunming, the capital city in Yunnan Province, Southwest China is planning to offer three-day visa-free regime for international travelers.

Yunnan Airport Group Co., Ltd. along with its tourism development commission intends to execute a three-day visa-free regime for foreign travelers at the Kunming airport in the second half of the year.

The visa-free policy will be applicable for foreign travelers making a halt at the Kunming Changshui International Airport.

In a bit to attract more foreign travelers, Yunnan will make related tourism products once the application is authorized.

Since 1 August 2014, South China's city of Guangzhou has started offering the three-day visa free travel for foreign transit passengers, thus, becoming the third Chinese city to offer a visa-free regime next to Beijing and Shanghai. Now, Kunming will be the tenth city to offer the 72-hour visa free travel policy for foreign travelers.
