Visa Amnesty Scheme:
A huge number of Indian citizens (thousands) in UAE have been applying for the temporary valid passport through the visa amnesty program which has been increased for a month. We knew that the visa amnesty program was launched on Aug 1st, 2018. As per the latest reports in the country, as of now, around 1800 Indians residents have been applying for validity passport those who are living in the country.
Under this scheme, Foreign employees those who were exceeding their permit have to leave the country without undergoing jail or paying any fine. As well as, the plan will likewise enable employees to search for another job in less than a half-year. The program that was actually to end on October 31, has now been expanded for more months. So, Indian citizens should apply for a valid passport within due date to stay in the country.
Indian ambassador of UAE, Navdeep Says
Indian ambassador of United Arab Emirates, Navdeep Suri said that many people on over validated passports have renewed their ID because of the 6 months access for them to get another job.
He also offered around 3,868 emergency documents that can allow Indian residents, who have lost necessary credentials or passport ID's to vacate the nation. Navdeep also said that 'Some people are doing fraud by cheating the administrators within the country. This may happen especially in semi-skilled and unskilled employees. The emergency document is the only source to move to the country'.
The general director of overseas affairs, Brigadier Saeed said that the final decision to increase the amnesty scheme will help people without any legal documents to obtain a fresh begin to their life.
He also mentioned that the access has started 9 centers consisting in Al Shahama, Al Aweer (Dubai), Al Ain and Al Dhafra (Abu Dhabi) and also in Ajman, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah to facilitate with the visa amnesty scheme. As per sources, after completion of the grace period, the national government will start intense search schemes to arraign illegal citizens.
