In a major decision that’s likely to woo Pretoria-Zimbabweans, who are employed in South Africa, the home affairs minister Malusi Gigaba mentioned that they (Pretoria-Zimbabweans) can renew special work permit visas from the next week.
Briefing more on the same, Gigaba has said that he has already made an announcement that he has set up Zimbabwean Special Permit (ZSP) that would enable these nationals in South Africa (SA) on this permit to work to carry out businesses or study in SA for 3 years.
The minister has even said that the applications for this visa program renewal would be accepted from 1 October and the same can be submitted online at their official website.
It may be recalled that over 2,00,000 Zimbabweans got four-year work permits in 2010 and they would be eligible for the renewal this year.
