107th Express Entry Draw: A Record Set By IRCC For Issuing ITAs

After the Express Entry Draw conducted on Dec 19, Canada has set record in issuing the largest number of Invitations to Apply for permanent residence in a year. It issued 3900 invitations in its 107th Express Entry Draw. Furthermore, with this, the total ITAs issued in this year stands at 89,800. It had issued 86,023 ITAs in 2017.

The least CRS in this draw was 439, which is the lowest score in this year. The reason of this low CRS score is the short time gap between two draws. Normally, EE draws happen every two weeks. Additionally, the time between this recent draw and the previous draw was just one week.

The authorities used the Tie-break method in this draw also. Its date and time was Feb 6, 2018, at 19:31:37 UTC. All candidates who had a CRS score of 439 and had also submitted their EE profiles before that date and time received an invitation to apply.

In the fourth quarter of the present year, there was a record by issuing 27,300 ITAs which is an all-time high. Moreover, there were seven draws. For the next year also, Canada has a plan to admit 81,400 new PRs by using the Federal High Skilled immigration category. Many of the immigration applications in the Federal category are processed by using the EE system.
