Zimbabwe to take on single Sadc visa

Zimbabwe is currently executing plans to initiate a system of single visa at all its borders to facilitate simplified access that would encourage tourism in the area.

Tourism deputy minister, Walter Kanhanga has said that the government is presently executing plans on  the program of uni-visa pilot  in Victoria Falls, which is selected to be followed at all the border posts to enable movement of the tourists easily and improve trade in Southern Africa.

Kanhanga said that a pilot project concerned to single visa system is currently being worked upon at Victoria Falls and is ahead in its development. If it meets with success, it would serve as the model for further implementation of the project at all the borders.

The single visa system will make sure that the tourists enter the nations of Sadc with one single visa, consequently reducing the obstacles for tourists to travel in the region.
