Canada Created 100,000 New Jobs in April 2019

The job growth in Canada was in several industries, like the information, retail and wholesale trade, and construction sectors. It was mostly in the private sector, where the major players were PEI, Ontario, Alberta, and Quebec. Employment figure, for other provinces, was at the same level.

This addition of 100,000 jobs lowered the unemployment rate in the nation to touch 5.7%. In November 2018 there was a record low unemployment rate of 5.6%

Job Offers and Express Entry

This boom is pleasant news for prospective immigrants. Canada has an ambitious, easy, and efficient plan of welcoming one million fresh immigrants in the future three years.  Additionally, the government intends to provide jobs in abundance, to the new PRs who can find long-term and full-time work.

Moreover, a job offer is not compulsory for immigration by using the Express Entry System. Holding it in the application process increases the chance to attain the ITA as a means to permanent residence. Such job offers can add 50 to 200 points to the CRS score. Today generally the cut-off score is around 450, and this enhancement boosts the chances of receiving the ITA.

Job Offers and PNP

Many Provincial Nomination Programs also manage streams that target professionals having specific work experience to address the gaps in the local markets. People holding work experience in the top demand provincial occupation, are eligible for PR nomination in Canada.

The PNP stream, presently open for all skilled workers, is the Occupation In-Demand sub-category of Saskatchewan’s Immigrant Nominee Program. The path attracts global workers having experience in top demand occupation in the province of Saskatchewan. The nominated Candidates of the stream have the status for finding full-time provincial work after they arrive. Moreover, they do not need a job offer to submit the application.

This program runs for a short time only. Interested applicants having adequate work experience can finally go forward to working in a top demand occupation now.
