Chinese working holiday visas filled in minutes said Australian Immigration Minister

Australian Immigration and Border Protection Minister Peter Dutton made an announcement regarding the first portion of Work and Holiday visas for the young Chinese population. According to him the applications were filled in minutes after being made available. And there are 1500 visas available now under the new agreement with China.

A total of 5000 places are going to be offered in Australia to the young Chinese population throughout this year and 2016. To extend the opportunity for working or studying for short term period along with a holiday in the country.

The visa cap would be at 5000 every year and will be available to the Chinese citizens who are educated and whose age is between 18 and 30. On this Work and Holiday visa, almost 24,000 people from all over the world come to Australia.

Australia is one of the only few countries who extends visas of work and holiday to the young Chinese citizens, as it also gives the country influence in the tourism market of China which is competitive.

Australia is going to follow Canada and the US in trailing a visit visa whose validity would be for 10 years for the Chinese visitors.  The government is also planning to provide fast track and premium service and support for Chinese language for online visas. Confirmed Mr. Dutton
