Saskatchewan Holds Expression of Interest draw - Invites 559 Candidates

On October 8th Immigration authorities in Saskatchewan conducted a draw in Expression of Interest, and issued 559 invitations in streams by targeting 15 top demand occupations. After this draw the SINP   has invited 1,938 candidates for applying to immigration within 14 days. The Candidates belonged to Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry streams of Saskatchewan.

The candidates invited in In-Demand Occupations category were 328, and their score was 69, and in the Express Entry, there were 231 candidates, again at the score of 69. This was the third draw since the SINP expanded its list of eligible occupations, to 218 from 19.

  • Candidates need submitting the filled and entire application in sixty days.
  • Program officials further assess the applications and decide on it 
Requirements for the Sub-Category (Occupation-In-Demand)

  • Scoring at least 60 points in the point assessment grid;
  • Having the language score of Canadian Language Benchmark 4
  • Some of the regulatory bodies and Employers can ask for a higher level;
  • Completing a year training, (post-secondary) similar to education system in the country and earning a certificate diploma, or degree
  • All Degrees/diplomas that are obtained away from Canada need the Educational Credential Assessment;
  • One year work experience during the last ten years in a relevant field of training education or occupation, and
  • In eligible occupations listed in NOC A/ B/ 0
  • Obtaining suitable license in Saskatchewan in case it is a field requirement
  • Having a proof of settlement plan/funds
  • Paying an online $300 application fee that is non refundable

Requirements for the Sub-Category Express Entry in Saskatchewan

Candidates of an area outside Canada, or those who have a legal status in it, qualify for this immigration category, but they must not be claimants of refugee

  • In addition, the candidates must:
  • Have the profile in Pool of Express Entry, with a number as well as the job seeker validation code;
  • Scoring 60 points on the point assessment grid;
  • Providing test results in language  from a reputed testing agency that is a match with the EE profile;
  • All Degrees/diplomas that are obtained away from Canada require  the ECA ;
  • Having one of the following requirements in experience in the field of education/ occupation or training :
  • One year work experience during the last ten years in a skilled non trade occupation, and
  • Two years in skilled trade in the last five years; or
  • One year of work experience in Canada in the past three years for non-trades /trades
  • In eligible occupations listed in NOC A/ B/ 0
  • Obtaining a proper license in Saskatchewan where the profession is regulated. Skilled trades need a certificate from the Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission in Saskatchewan.
  • Having a proof of settlement plan/funds
  • Paying an online $300 application fee that is non refundable
