Thailand multi entry visa to receive more Chinese and Indians

After the multi-entry visa announcement by the Thailand government, it is expected that more number of travelers from India and China are to visit the country, said kob karn watanawarangkura of tourism and sports ministry on Monday.

This multiple entry visa allows travelers to visit Thailand as many times within a period of six months if they pay about 143 US dollars fee, in compared to the payment of 28.5 US dollars per every visit with ordinary visa.

Although we expected to introduce for a 12-month multi-entry visa, eventually end up offering 6 month period visa. This visa will prompt people from India and China to travel Thailand especially on weekends, she added.

According to tourism minister estimates about 17.5 million visitors have arrived in Thailand in the first seven months of 2015, registering an increase of 30.7 percent compared to the same period in last year, thus contributing 23 billion US dollars tourism earnings.

Thailand expects to receive 28 million arrivals visiting the country in 2015, of them 6 million to be from China.

She also said the increasing purchase power in the most of visitors would make them afford and repeat their visits.
