Georgia aims at regularizing its visa policy

In a major decision that is likely to put the reguralize the visa police of Georgia, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken a giant leap. It has recently published a list of countries that it would intend to extend its visa-free or visa waiver programme only to Armenian citizens

Recently adopted, this legislation would come into force this September. All those who intend to stay for a period of 90 days and beyond are required to get a visa, as a mandatory rule. It has to be mentioned here that Georgia has visa free regime with 94 countries including the neighboring countries.

The immigration experts have said that these changes are intended to increase tourism industry. However, they also aim at regularizing the migration process. The reports indicated that Georgia was holding talks with European Union too to make migration policy of Georgia in compliance with their standard procedures.
