This new statement was promulgated by a French Ambassador to India, Francois Richier, during his special conference on New Technologies and Prospects for Sustainable Growth'. He further added that prospective applicants of Ahmedabad are planning to relocate to France need not have to travel to Mumbai for applying a visa, instead they can make use the new application centre which is about to open soon.
An interesting fact about this new application centre is that France if the eight nations to open a new visa center at Ahmedabad.
Moreover, existing government of France is also planning to strengthen the Campus France desk, which is present at Alliance Francaise Ahmedabad to aid all the students moving to its country. During the July month of 2014, French general counsel in India, Jean-Raphael Peytregnet has met the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel in Gandhinagar and had conversed about the possibility enhancing the new avenues of mutual understanding. Peytregnet has also put forth his desire on expanding the bilateral understanding between Gujarat and France by inaugurating a French Language Centre of Excellence in well-known Gujarat city of Ahmedabad.
Addressing the meet, he further added that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's new move of Make in India is one of the best policies.
