According to the US Consul General, Philip Min, India is now standing second after China as the nation of origin for the most overseas students in the US and India is outpacing China’s increase in this area.
He informed that the number of students from India who are pursuing education in the US has increased by 30% bringing the total to 1,33,000 students from India.
EducationUSA has been assisting the students from India in deciding the universities, providing tips on writing the exams for the universities and preparing the students for the visa interviews.
Previous year, around 1,20,000 students and their parents had approached around 71 centres of EducationUSA for applying to the US universities.
He also told that their job is to promote legal traveling to the US. Getting a visa make sure that you had entry permission to the airport but the US Homeland Security has to offer access to other parts of the nation.
According to the senior advisor, EducationUSA, Maya Sundararajan, those students who had registered as members could use the services like applying to colleges, preparing for exams like ACT, SAT, webinars, writing SOPs, online counseling etc.
