India to expand visa free diplomatic travel to many countries

The Indian Union Cabinet has approved an agreement on the exemption from the visa needs for the official and diplomatic passport holders.  The government was looking to expand the envelope of visa-free traveling for such individuals.

According to an official statement, this measure will facilitate entry, transit and stay for three months time without requiring a visa in any period of six months in India or signatory nation for the diplomatic and official passport holders of either nation.

This measure is a part of the ongoing efforts that are made by India to increase the visa-free travel envelope for the official and diplomatic passport holders to other nations of the world.

As per the official statement, the agreements of Visa free travelling have been signed with around 69 nations. There are still over 130 nations with which India is about to enter into or sign the similar agreements.
