Indian Student Statistics for Different Nations
The nations with the very less number of students from India are Uganda and Serbia, with one student. Saudi Arabia, with 70,800 Indian students, and the U.A.E, with 50,000 students appeared as the additional significant destinations for Indian students. About 30,000 students moved to New Zealand, while information for the U.K for 2016-17 recorded 16,550 Indians reading there.
The U.A.E has seen an abrupt rise in the Indian student's influx, with the number growing from simply 500 in December 2017 to 50,000 in this year until the month of July, the Hindu announced.
However, the student's number according to the U.S has seen a moderate rise, with only 4,995 students going for America in the current 07 months, the publication continued.
To create an Indian students database going overseas, the External Affairs Ministry in 2016 produced a “Students Registration Module” MADAD portal inside, which allows students of India to enroll voluntarily and present courses data, place, institution, the term of the course, etc. The student's registration in the portal is a continuous process, as the Indian student's movement to other nations, visa status change, and their coming to India, etc., are effective, the ministry told.
