Infosys not to rely on H-1B and L-1 Visas

Indian Software Giant Infosys announced that it will start hiring American nationals, instead of using H-1B and L-1 visas. The Indian based company wants to hire foreign nationals, to come closer to customers.

According to the recent data, the Indian based company hired 2144 local workers for the fiscal year 2016. The visa fee hike and Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric could have impacted the Indian based firm. 

It has been considered as the biggest addition of local employs by the Infosys in North and South America. 

The India software exports account more than 60 percent to the United States, Indian software giants; Infosys, Wipro, and Tata Consultancy have presence across the United States. 

Infosys says that it has good number of American professionals as well as foreign nationals with Green Card in the United States. 

It seems that the presidential campaign had largely impacted the Indian-based companies, according to the NASSCOM estimates annually the visa fee hike is going to burden the India IT companies US 400 million dollars additionally.
