UK government’s strict immigration policies are restricting the foreign student’s job options and plans to work in the U.K.

Strict visa rules have cut down the number of international students who are capable of getting jobs after graduation. This number has gone down to 88% in the year 2012-13.

As per the current rules, a student gets only four months to find a job after the completion of graduation, as previously it was two years. This has led to only a few of them are being able to secure a job every year, as compared to the thousands in previous years.

Most of the foreign graduates who seeks a job will now get minimum salaries, under the new policies that are under consideration.  These rules are being set to restrict the students coming from outside the EU.

Around 27,282 companies are permitted to hire foreign graduates, out of five million businesses that are in the U.K.

Despite many calls being made to loose the rules,   the government is saying that  these steps are being taken to protect British workers and the British jobs.

Prime Minister David Cameron said that since 2010, there has been increase in the employment and 1000 jobs recorded every day for British nationals.
