MEA issues advisory for the students who are travelling to the US

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory for all students who seek to travel to the US, as there have been many recent cases of entry rejection by the authorities of the US immigration to students from India having valid student visas to pursue education in the US institutions.  The Silicon Valley University located at San Jose and the Northwestern Polytechnic University at California.

The Indian government had taken this issue with the government of the US. As per the External Affairs Ministry, they had asked the authorities from the US to provide the cause for rejection of entry that has been increased to the students from India despite holding the valid visas. 

It also said that till the time the issue is resolved satisfactorily, the students who seek admission in those two institutions are recommended to postpone their travel to the US.

All the students from India who seek admission in the educational institutions of the US are recommended to make sure that the institution in which they are about to take the admission has proper capacities and authorization.  The students required to carry all the required documents related to their study plans, financial support, housing  and healthcare arrangement etc,  apart from the travel documents  and should also be prepared for the interviews for admission with the immigration officials of the US.
